PERSONAL NOTE

Spring is here! The yellow tulips in our front yard are blooming, and a few days ago, my husband brought home a bouquet of yellow and orange tulips to bring spring into our house! Little things like this can remind us of all we have to celebrate!

At church yesterday, I spoke with a friend who had moved from here to another Viriginia town. He shared that they had a fire and their home burned to the ground. Their son came through the door as the roof caved in, so it was a narrow escape, but all four of them were okay. Within a few days, their church family had gathered clothes and food for them. Even strangers from other churches were bringing them things. He said, "Even though there is so much focus on all the bad things in the world, there are a lot of good people." I agreed, noting that the good is not what gets the press.

While there are definitely things happening in the world, and even in our hometowns, that are not what we would define as "good", I hope you remember to look for the things that are, and the goodness in people. We tend to see more of what we notice just as we tend to get more of what we give.

There are always miracles if we look for them! What miracles are you noticing?

Happy spring!

Laura
